We do recommend this hotel, spent here great 1 night. The continental breakfast was excellent and served in the restaurant. Location: the property was next to the restaurant and a national park with good walks nearby and nature. Moreover, we found Kamahi Loop Track steps away from the hotel.

our second stay in stratford was even better than the first. ngati ruanui stratford mountain house exceeded our expectations. the staff were amazing, the rooms stunning, and the views priceless. we felt more than guests, thanks to the personal interest shown by the managers and staff. we will definitely be back.

I had the most amazing stay at a mountain house in Stratford. The owner, Lynne, went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. She personally drove me to Stratford Plateau and gave me expert advice on the best trekking trails. She even allowed me a late check-out so I could freshen up after the trek. The top level service and professionalism of the staff made me feel like a VIP. The beautiful room, delicious dinner, and perfect location near the mossy forest exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend this mountain house for an unforgettable experience.

Located well up the lower slopes of Taranaki National Park, this hotel provided a mesmerizing backdrop for my stay. The comfortable bed allowed me to unwind and recharge after a long day of exploring. Moreover, the rooms were equipped with superb showers that provided a refreshing experience.

Parking can be a bit limited during peak seasons.

We had an amazing Thanksgiving celebration surrounded by stunning scenery and enjoying long walks on different tracks. The complementary spa bath was a great way to relax after a long walk. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service during our stay, they even offered complementary breakfast which was a nice surprise. The location was perfect, with plenty of walking opportunities and breathtaking views.

It would have been nice to have access to a small kitchen area or mini-fridge to store snacks since we spent most of our time outdoors. some of the meals at the restaurant were a little on the pricey side.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the room was always clean and well-maintained. The bar was cozy and a great place to relax after a long day of exploring. the location was great with easy access to attractions and restaurants.

There were a couple of downsides during my stay. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow, which made it difficult to stay connected.
